How to gain electronic parts using a soldering pot

How to gain electronic parts using a soldering pot Video Clips. Duration : 6.92 Mins.

In this video, we show you howt o gain electronic parts from old PCBs using a soldering pot. This method is faster, more power efficient and produces less smell than using a heat gun. Our soldering pot is a 150W one, a typical heat gun usually requires 1000-2000W. As usual, there's a risk that desoldered parts are broken due to the produced heat; however, we believe that it's better to have parts where some of them are broken as having no parts at all. Even cheap parts like capacitors and crystals are worth the effort, because you usually need them in large quantities. Even if we show how to desolder SMD parts (even BGA works), we doubt that there's much use for parts like BGA and SMD ICs. However, SMD caps and crystals are useful as they could also be hand-soldered for later projects. Music written+produced by Felicitus
